A pencil sketch is the basis for a black and white image that highlights the unique characteristics of the subject: the curve of an iris petal, the arch of a black bears ear, the texture of a turkey tail mushroom.

This image is transferred onto linoleum and hand carved to reveal a crisp and detailed outline which is then hand printed onto bamboo paper.

Details such as a second ink pressing or watercolor may be  added to enhance the final artwork.

 

The final artwork is scanned and printed as high quality prints, stationary and more.
